We were staying in a motel by the interstate and the ratings were terrible at the restaurants close. We looked online and found Hurley House. Wow! It was delicious. We called and ordered. It was 3 miles down the road and ready when we got there. Don't bother with anywhere else you won't be sorry.

Good food. Good service. Great price. Well worth the short detour from the interstate. Had the daily special. Two big fried pork chops, purple hull peas, fried okra, fried potatoes, cornbread, drink and slice of pie all included for a great price. Got full and still took half of it with me. Looking forward to next time I’m in the area.

What a wonderful gem. Hidden off I-40, but worth the two miles south. Great Hamburger, authentic fried Okra, tender pork chops, delicious iced tea and refreshing back-home service with "Yes, ma'am " and "Yes, sir"! Ty for the wonderful meal/service on our way from Kingman, Arizona to Ringgold, Georgia.

Great little hidden gem. If you want home-cooked style food, this is your place. The fried porkchops were fantastic as well as the mashed potatoes and . Good prices and lots to choose from. I will definitely be back.

Did you have a chance to watch Cheers when Norm walked in everone would say ‘HI NORM’ when we walked into Hurley House Cafe in Hazen, so many welcomed us and asked us questions about living in an RV we call Fred. Sorry, you googled the Hurley House Cafe so lets talking food glorious food. First off i had decent size sirloin steak w/ onions and gravy don't tell other restaurants they did not charge for the onions. Than my favorite fried okra. Have you ever had boiled okra in tomato? Lets just say fri okra, so much better than for a second side lightly breaded squash than fried Robin wanted the fried or baked shrimp but decided on the club sandwich. Oh, wow that sandwich had ham that was maybe half inch thick, turkey also cut thick, Robin was unable to finish off her club so it became her dinner that might- still was full from a late lunch so the poor bread was left for compose somewhere. Stopped for breakfast on my way through town. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and cooked properly (I might be a little Karen sometimes). The pricing was very affordable. Key note***the bathrooms were clean. I will definitely stop by this spot again in the future.
